An Yountae is associate professor in the department of Religious Studies at California State University, Northridge (USA). He is a member of the on the Editorial Collective of Political Theology journal and co-chairs the Political Theology Unit of the American Academy of Religion. His most recent publications include Beyond Man: Race, Coloniality, and Philosophy of Religion (co-edited with Eleanor Craig) and The Coloniality of the Secular: Race, Religion, and Poetics of World-Making, both published by Duke University Press (2021 & 2024).
