Maria Vliek is a PhD student at the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies at the department of Islam Studies at the Radboud University Nijmegen. Her research interests include anthropology of Islam and religious identities. More specifically, she examines narratives and testimonials of former Muslims in contemporary Europe.
